Normal wear vs. a real sagging defect
Knowing the difference is the first step — and we’re happy to help you tell them apart.
Normal body impressions
Every mattress forms slight impressions where you sleep — usually shallow (often under about three-quarters of an inch). That’s normal settling of the comfort layers as a new bed breaks in, not a defect.
A sagging defect
Deeper, visible sag that stays even with no weight on the bed can be a manufacturer defect. Most warranties cover sag beyond a set depth (commonly around 1 to 1.5 inches; it varies by brand). If that’s what you see, you likely have a claim.

Mattress sagging: your questions, answered
No more than any quality mattress. Every bed develops slight body impressions over time — that’s normal. True premature sagging is a manufacturer defect, it’s covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and we actively help our customers claim it.
Normal impressions are shallow (often under about three-quarters of an inch) and form where you sleep as the bed breaks in. A warranty sagging defect is a deeper, visible sag that remains even with no weight on the mattress — commonly beyond about 1 to 1.5 inches, though the exact threshold varies by manufacturer.
Contact us with your order details and a few clear photos. We’ll review it against the manufacturer’s warranty terms and help you start a claim. For mattresses bought in-store that include a warranty, we may — at our discretion — replace it for you.
Yes. The mattresses we sell come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Coverage length and terms vary by model and brand, so ask us in store or check your warranty card for the specifics on your mattress.
Usually, yes. Most manufacturers require the mattress to be used on a solid, supportive foundation or base. Using an unsupported or inadequate base can cause sagging and may void warranty coverage, so make sure your bed is properly supported.
Use a proper, supportive foundation, rotate the mattress if the manufacturer recommends it, avoid regularly sitting or standing on the same spot or edge, and keep it clean and dry. Good support is the single biggest factor in a mattress lasting.

Manufacturer warranty terms are set by each manufacturer and vary by model — including coverage length, sagging-depth thresholds, and requirements such as using a proper foundation. Replacement of an in-store purchase is offered at our discretion and is not guaranteed.
